No Shorts Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 28, 2026
No Shorts is a Chrome extension that blocks YouTube Shorts and helps keep YouTube focused.
Data Stored By The Extension
No Shorts stores extension settings in Chrome extension storage:
- Current mode, such as Block, Allow, Focus, Schedule, or One-hour break.
- Schedule start and end times.
- Custom shortcut preference.
These settings use Chrome sync storage. If you are signed into Chrome and have Chrome Sync enabled, Chrome may sync these settings across your Chrome browsers according to your Chrome account settings.
No Shorts stores the following data in Chrome local extension storage on the device:
- Allowed channel IDs or handles that you save.
- Local activity counts, such as Shorts blocked and Shorts attempts stopped.
- Recent attempt timestamps used to decide when to show the confirmation prompt.
This data is used only to make the extension work.

No Shorts does not require an account.
No Shorts does not include payment, subscription, license, or donation features in the initial release.
